Solubility	The lyophilized adiponectin (human) should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of <0.3mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4-8?C, mix well. If desired, you can centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffers or stored at 4?C for up to 1 week and at -20?C for future use.
Storage Condition	The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20˚C. Reconstituted Adiponectin should be stored in working aliquots at -20˚C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.

Adiponectin is very important adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and

Insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory

activities. Stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal

muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion. Antagonizes α-TNF

by negatively regulating its expression in various tissues such as liver and

macrophages, and also by counteracting its effects. Inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B

signaling through a c-AMP-dependent pathway. May play a role in cell growth,

angiogenesis and tissue remodeling by binding and sequestering various factors with

distinct binding affinities, depending on the type of complex, LMW, MMW or HMW.
