Description: Adiponectin (Rat) is a protein that corresponds to the C-terminal globular domain of Adiponectin. It is expressed and secreted exclusively by adipose tissue. Adiponectin possesses unique pharmacological properties for regulation of body weight and lipid metabolism. It is a key component in controlling energy homeostatis. Recombinant protein is 16.6 kDa consisting of 145 Amino acid residues. ≈36 kDa protein.

Supplied: Lyophilised with no additives.

Reactivity: Determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of mouse myeloid cell line M1. The ED50 for this effect is typically 1-3μg/ml.
